So this is the first post I'm writing from our new house!

I was hoping I'd be able to share photos of it completely finished, but I realized that was not going to happen any time soon. So I'll be showing you around like you are one of my friends visiting, with a small introduction of - "imagine there is a carpet here, and a bookcase here, and a lamp over there".

Truth be told, I was a bit hesitant to share pics. This move has been strange - we went from living in a tiny rickety caravan to  beautiful home, and I was afraid I would lose some sort of authenticity on the way. But the longer we've been here, the more I can feel the affect this place has on me. The light, the amazing view from every window - the airiness of it all - it's just amazing, I can't stop smiling.

Here are a couple of thoughts inspired by life in our new house:

1. Grey is the prettiest color.

Except for black.

2. There is no such thing as too much natural light.

3. If you're going to be washing dishes - do it in front of a beautiful view.

Or in front of the TV, that works too.

4. Old furniture looks best when you paint it blue.
5. This is the view from our roof.

I hope to share more pics soon, (the kids room is the prettiest!)
